What part do you not understand are you slow since they have joined the league from 1979/80 on they are the best winning franchise in the NHL the leafs last time they won and the cups before there was 6 teams they have 0 cups and 0 finals since lol.
So here you go
Oilers 5 cups in 36 years = 1 IN every 7.2 Years
Oilers 7 finals 1in every 5.2 years
Now go work it out by cups and finals back to 79/80 when Oilers joined take any team and Work out Cups in how many years they have been in the league since 79/80 and you will find none that match this

Including newer franchise and their Finals even caculate the teams that played in a 6 team league for 50 years lol where they were do for in 1 in 6 years.And The Oilers have 1 cup and 2 finals since the1990's began And no they have not been the worst team , You're talking out of your ass. And all 21 teams that were in the league when the Oilers joined are still in the league because they moved to another city does not make them defunct . so 9 less then not half It's less then1/3 go back to math class.
