From Journal of Commerce.

"Fifth" at 5th & Yukon, July 11, 2016:
Seems like an old pic though.

thanks for the update. Though I never realized mint green and sky blue spandrel were considered "high luxury" materials.

I kinda like the look of the blue and green spandrel... but we'll have to wait and see how the rest of the building looks.

An update on Citti at 238 W. Broadway. Here's what looks like an updated rendering from their website. It shows the brickwork that we see appearing on the building now.

Looks like the Scotia Bank at Oak and Broadway is moving kitty-corner to take over the space vacated by BCAA.

I wonder if this means the old site will come up for development / be the location of the Oak Station for the Broadway line.

I think that's the idea, someone correct me if i'm wrong but i think either the city or translink owns the scotia bank site now. I always liked that formalist building at the corner of Oak and broadway, they cleaned it up recently by eliminating the terrible 90's glass awnings with something much more simple and appropriate for the era.

I walk past Citti several times a week, the brick colour is kinda weird IMO, it's a funny pinky-grey tone.

Consolidating i guess, hopefully they renovate the lobby when Scotia is in, the last i looked the lobby was still quite dated.

Also the site for Ellsworth on Main at 7th has the small office structure cleared and the advertising around the site is gone too, just the concrete and asphalt to go hopefully in the next few days then excavation! This one has been quite slow moving with all the hangups so far.

Tallest Hybrid Timber Structure Proposed for Vancouver

Quote:
Not too far from the under-construction Brock Commons at the University of British Columbia, another timber structure could soon be gracing the Vancouver skyline. Pritzker Prize-winning architect Shigeru Ban has been appointed to the Terrace House project, which developer PortLiving claims will be the tallest hybrid timber structure in the world.

Thanks!
Do those ledges mean it'll be clad in brick?
