The Aperture project developer is certainly setting new standards for Vancouver. Very Copenhagen-ish. Love that they are concrete buildings too.

Appreciate the updates guys!

I didn't realize there's a school there, it's just behind in the second photo.
This looks like the beginning of another Modern Sculpture garden.

or a minimalist cafe patio.

Since there was a gas station there I imagine that's part of the soil remediation, somehow.

Near The Ridge at 14th-15th and Arbutus. I forget the name

10th and Maple at Arbutus. Liquor store had been demolished, no excavation yet.

Thanks for the updates officedweller and Genauso. The building on Broadway turned-out surprisingly not awful for a Pinnacle Project, let's hope they keep it up for this next one.

What's the status on that King Ed project?

Nice project overall.

For the villas, the laundry is in the basement. I guess you could take the elevator to bring the laundry up and down, but it seems inconvenient.

The cool wood walls lining the "apertures" look nice from the outside, but from the inside, they create odd triangular, windowless alcoves.

The King Edward project is on the SW corner across from King Edward Station
- that leftover parcel that was not included in the "mediocre" project on the rest of the block.
It's the same architect as for South Creek Landing - and it looks very similar (a good thing).
So here's hoping that this one will be built and will provide a landmark "gateway" to the Cambie Boulevard and QE Park.

2nd Open house was tonight for the project proposed at Joyce and Vanness. The two options proposed both looked good, and I have a feeling we'll see the proposal that moves forward will be a combination of the two. Tower is now proposed to be 37 actual floors plus the amenity space on the penthouse level ala Woodwards. Looks like just a single large retail unit on the ground floor, probably big enough for a small grocery store or drug store. Glad to see a large number of family friendly units wish we'd see more of these especially outside downtown. Boards should be made public later this week, correction they are available now.

Wow, I love them both!

I had no idea this was even in the works, what a pleasant surprise.

Thanks for the update.
The quilt designs look way too busy.

The only similar one I've seen pics of is Motion (by Concert) in Toronto,
but it has a wide dark band border to contain the chaos of the spandrel (at least at the base).

that collingwood project would be improved by a lane access parking ingress and so as to all an extension of the park over the street to the property line.

The residents fronting the lane probably wanted traffic diverted to the side and not down their lane (i.e. backing out of garages would be difficult with increased traffic due to the tower)
