I agree.

I think the possibility would have been taken into consideration. Throughout this process, I feel like they took their time and thought through things. Much like with the roof, amount of seats, outside aesthetics, etc., it comes down to finances. How can you maximize the experience while paying a reasonable amount of money?

The World Cup is only played on grass, except for women's, but they aren't happy about playing on Turf. Besides how often do you expect Canada to hold any tournaments? So what about MLS? I would think that they would prefer to play at home for the revenue. They simply do not get the TV ratings that other sports do.

So, the likelihood of having any professional soccer come to Regina is small. We are a small market with limited interest. The risk seems greater than the reward. If Saskatchewan keeps growing, there may be interest in the future. Then we can replace the turf, if that is financially feasible.

There really are just a few dissenting voices. It's what the internet does well. When people are happy about something, they rarely post. When people are upset, the internet becomes a soap box for their opinion. So public interest or outrage is difficult to assess, if we are only using the opinion of the internet.

In this case, I agree that the decision makers probably did their due diligence before making their informed decision.
