You can spin anything to make it look green. They can say something like this will be a main corridor for a future transit corridor requiring extra lanes in order to facilitate proper bus transit times in and out of the core from the E/SE neighborhoods of the city. Overall it would be BS but anything can be spun if the government is willing to look past it.

That is just one relatively small program ($2B). The Libs have committed to $125B over 10 years, Up from $65B. Sask should be in line for over $4B or about $400 million/year.

I noticed on the City's Transportation Master Plan that the Sask Dr. realignment will also have a new connection to the industrial area south of Dewdney (Tuxedo Park). I hope this will be right turns only and not a full intersection, but I am not too confident.

Chad Novak looks set to appear on several items at today's Council meeting. Should be interesting.

Fuddruckers is up for DU approval. I note it includes a patio.

Just this morning I was driving on Vic east and wondering when the LP Building we be put up for sale. It is quite a large piece of land, although they have sold off pieces in recent years.

I would probably need to be demoed to efficiently use it.

Is there an emoticon or smiley for a palm plant or banging your head on a desk?

As soon as I heard the news about the secret sask power centre I wondered why they are dragging the media around to a secret location if it is secret.

Yesterday I didn't know such a thing existed. How hard did they think it would be for people to put 2 and 2 together. GAWD!!

Either it's not all that secret and it was all a bunch of drama or SaskPower is really stupid....maybe both.

It looks like the CJME article doesn't mention specifically where the centre is, but Stormer seems to have figured it out (?!) and gave us peace of mind! Nice to know that this is close by our neighbourhood, so we can plan to protect ourselves from fallout should it ever get nuked!

Maybe, while (or even before) they're widening this route, the City could identify and start planning for other potential mass transportation corridors that could eventually lead to citywide light rail transportation services in the future.

We (my wife and I) used to utilize Vancouver's Skytrain and Toronto's TTC LRT networks pretty much before we had the kids! We'll probably get back to using the LRT's more after they get a bit older as we visit those places in the future!

I'm surprised that it is considered 'secret' as I understood it was fairly common knowledge. I have known what the building contained for a long time...way back when it was far from any other residential or commercial development.

Wouldn't be terrible to have a dedicated (and separated) set of bus lanes... that's usually the first step to setting up a good rapid transit system.

I don't think it is considered secret. More that some people don't know because they've never thought about it.

The real secret is where CSIS is located in Regina.

I'm not sure they've "sold" any parts of it. Associated Engineering occupies the former CKCK studios, but I assume they're just leasing it.

But yes, this is not too surprising. It's how hedge funds wring as much as they can out of dying companies before liquidating them.

EDIT: Oh, you mean sold off pieces of the land. Yes, that's possible.

Bi directional, but not sure of the number of lanes. I believe the will do the widening between Broad and Winnipeg and maybe also the west extension over the Lewvan, first.
