While not my thing this newest trend to me isn't that offensive. Look, the garage is even off to the side for once! Far from the fugliness of 90's salmon coloured stucco or snub nosed monstrosities we've seen before. I would much rather someone with means build this than that atrocity someone posted from Saskatchewan awhile back with the fake columns and Saskatoon skyline stuccoed onto the side.
Edit: my only caveat is that I have seen many examples of the shingles like this uses under the eaves where people don't upkeep them, they fade and get weathered and start to look much uglier.
I'm more concerned about functionality than aesthetics. This would be an absolute nightmare to get re-roofed and it is open to leak especially in
Toronto.
And in the end. Parking killed the project in Cathedral. Given the current commercial strip there and the market conditions I give it six months before there's a Vape shop across the street from the new elementary school.
