I would much rather someone with means build this than that atrocity someone posted from Saskatchewan awhile back with the fake columns and Saskatoon skyline stuccoed onto the side.

Edit: my only caveat is that I have seen many examples of the shingles like this uses under the eaves where people don't upkeep them, they fade and get weathered and start to look much uglier.

I'm more concerned about functionality than aesthetics. This would be an absolute nightmare to get re-roofed and it is open to leak especially in
Toronto.

You've given me something to think about...

And in the end. Parking killed the project in Cathedral. Given the current commercial strip there and the market conditions I give it six months before there's a Vape shop across the street from the new elementary school.

From The Leader Post:; Contested Cathedral Development has been Sent Back to the Drawing Board

The clocktower looming over the Montreal skyline reminded me of Godzilla invading Tokyo. I present to you the monster of Laval:

Now we just need to create an internet meme of the clocktower destroying things everywhere.

niwell · #**5168** Posted **Apr 21, 2016, 5:38 PM**

We may have just reached peak clocktower. Not sure if anything can top that.

HomeInMyShoes · #**5169** Posted **Apr 21, 2016, 5:41 PM**

Legs. Needs legs to traverse the parking lots of Laval.

SignalHillHiker · #**5170** Posted **Apr 21, 2016, 5:42 PM**

Peak clocktower doesn't exist on SSP. That'd be like concluding a discussion of the urban merits of MTL or seeing enough pictures of my neighbourhood.

They're hidden from this angle as there is a building in front of it. But we could insert it into other angles and add legs.

LOL best laugh I've had on here in a while. This 🞵🞵🞵 🞵🞵🞵🞵 clock tower is becoming the best thing about this forum, every time I check this thread its up to progressively more and more evil things. May we forever hail the great monster of Laval.

Someone needs to compile all of these great images into a coffee table book and send it to the City of Laval Planning Commission/Office/Bureau or whatever they call themselves.

The suburb of Laval has a planning commission? You mean they actually plan things over there?

If they don't then I'm moving to become a developer.

You're absolutely right. It needs wheels. Or better yet tank treads!

Or better yet we could co-author our own biographical history of the Residences Soleil Laval. I'm imagining the voice of Leslie Neilson (may he RIP) narrating it. Remember Lieography?
