Maybe because SLC Projects threatens to leave the board every few months. He's a diva.

What building are we referring to here? My phone doesn't allow me to see these images.

Projects, please stay. I wish some of you long time forumers would come out of your internet anonymity and actually come to a forum meet up. I feel like I know a bunch of you, though I've never actually met you.

Oh, good! I hope that whole parking lot gets a facelift... Along with the walker Center parking garage... As for that small building on 100s and regent... I honestly just wish that they would tear that down and build a nice restaurant or something there.

Seriously hate internet tough talk. Really stupid and it hurts my eyes.
You are right, I have lurked for a few years but I am new to the discussions. I have nothing on Projects in terms of contribution, and I apologize for my statements, they weren't meant to offend.

But seriously enough of this guys. It's the INTERNET, so lets be real, people are gonna say things you won't like, and you can either hopelessly dish it back out or accept it.

Example:

I also agree with Mr. Stenar that the building should just be razed and be replaced by something much taller.
"faux superior 'wasteland'." I quite enjoy this. I am sorry if I have rubbed you guys the wrong direction, I sincerely love you all in a non-pedophile-creepy-internet way. There are so many personalities on this forum that bring a beautiful and eclectic setting to all of the discussions. Also, I think we all (meaning forumers who have not met up) have imagined what our fellow forumers may be like in real life. Such as who would be bald, who would be buff, and who would secretly be pretending to be a man or woman on the internet. Maybe I am the only one that does these things. My point is, I find the overall vibe of skyscraperpage.com a inviting and exciting one, something I would hope you all to feel the same way. I just wish that we could avoid arguments like these as much as possible in order to keep the purpose of this site alive.

I have heard rumors that the building on the corner of Regent and 1st will get a ground level face lift via large glass windows/walls. Modern facade and the desire to place a restaurant there.

Does anybody have access to renderings of this renovation? This is very encouraging. UtPlanner? This should be accessible to the public by now.

All the building permit says is "Removal of Non-Structural Panels" No attached documents with any renderings.

Please bring back Market Street while you're at it.

Speaking of Forum meet ups.. Did we have one this year? I didn't see anything about a meet up this year. Last year was fun.

I went to one a couple years ago with my wife and If I remember right all we had was Orlando, FM, JediKermit, someone else and my wife and I. It wasn't a huge turnout but it was fun. I would be glad to go to another one again, but you might want to give me a few weeks as I am in the middle of another one of my moves. I know you all had one in the last year going to the top of the Wells Fargo building and was bummed that I couldn't go.

I think Orlando pitched one when he was in town earlier (thanksgiving?)...I was out of town whenever it was. I'm usually up for whatever. YES I HAVE A LIFE.

Regent Street renderings

I found the link for the renderings. Here it is. Anyone want to get those images posted on here?
http://www.sltrib.com/csp/mediapool/sites/sltrib/Pages/gallery.csp?cid=2425621&pid=2388704

And, yes, I tentatively asked last minute if anyone was interested in getting together during Thanksgiving. But, I would love to See Delts, Projects, or any of you anonymous long-time forumers make it to any forum meet-up.

I really enjoyed the several months' break that Projects took from the forum because there was ZERO drama when he was gone.

I hope it turns out that way. I think downtown needs more color and lights. That'd go along way toward making it more inviting at night.

By the way I just copy and paste the information future mayor had, which was out of date and the links didn't work even back then. Ironically no one bitched about it then, but whatever. Here's some food for thought, when you guys make somebody feel like s*** it doesn't really make that person want to take the time to make these updates or corrections. I only started this thread because no one else would.
Goodbye. #dramaqueen

Projects. Don't be bait for these guys. You don't know them and they don't know you. Frankly you shouldn't have your feelings hurt by people that mean nothing to you. If you're going to go, just do it. Don't ask for permission or for pity. We might all have an interest in development but that's as far as you see your ties with people on here. Some are pretty cool, others....give you the opportunity to practice open mindedness. You have been on here since I can remember. Don't do this victim thing because some are just waiting for the opportunity to put you down even more

More color? We have tan, and beige, and almond, and camel, and burlap, and sand, and sepia, and khaki, and taupe, and acorn, and cream, and bisque, and hazelwood...we have more than enough colors in this city, thank you very much.

GOOD DAY, SIR.
