Broadway Park Lofts - FINISHED. I know this has been done for a while now, but I don't think anyone posted any photos of it done.

Only took TEN years. Glad it's finally finished.

I see that brown Jeepster Commando like once a week. I always give the woman that drives it a big thumbs up. If you're going to drive a polluter it should be crazy ugly and the Commando is one of the ugliest ever made. I love it.

I'm a member at the Front Climbing gym. That new space is amazing, and apparently it has the tallest indoor climbing in the country.

On Sunday, I also snapped a pic of Broadway Park Lofts. I love the look of them. I like to imagine pioneer park being surrounded on every side by similar developments. One day, I want to personally tear down the Residence Inn on the east side and redevelop the lot.

A new report shows that half of area renters are cost burden. I hope that the rental market saturates a bit so that rents go down or at least stop rising.

They gutted out all of the character that that street once had. Hopefully we can at least expect them to keep the buildings there, even if the interesting tenants are now all gone.

Sounds like what's generally happening to all the cool areas of Salt Lake.

My guess is 9th and 9th is next. Maybe a Cinemark in place of The Tower?!?

While I am no in anyway a fan of Vasilios, they are simply managing the building they are not the owners.

If they owned it they would reduce rent and let it fall apart so they could claim that it was unsafe to occupy, maybe set part of it on fire and then tear it down.
Or they would triple the rents so that nobody would lease space, and the rest would be the same; fall apart, unsafe, burn, tear down.

We had a deluge of rain yesterday all day here in L.A. And it's happening again today. I guess this is the historic El Nino they've been talking about. I'm thinking you guys are in for a major dumping of snow in the next day or so.

Seriously!!! It didn't look much different from now when I was in high school, and I've been out of college for two years. Hopefully we have better luck with the halted State Street development than this and the Sugar Hole.

Does anyone know how long these wood apts can be expected to be maintained in a good condition? Are we going to have a bunch of dilapidated apt blocks in 20-30 years?

I was trying to post my comment using your quote, I made the mistake of posting without the "quote" Didn't mean to. But I think everybody knows that this photo is yours.
