Wow, thanks for that. Truly above and beyond. I've seen that view of Vancouver before from a plane and if you go a bit higher then those snow capped mountain peaks seem to stretch off into eternity. It's an amazing perspective and reminds us of just how tiny Vancouver's little corner of British Columbia is. Kind of like a little high rise Shangri La under Superman's Fortress of Solitude.

The mountains dwarf the city! It is great to put into perspective the size of what we build.

Of course Vancouver isn't the tallest city around. The CN Tower wouldn't be nearly as dwarfed.

Ok first of all please dont take the Lord's name in vein.

Second of all the view cone laws in vancouver are insane, protect the mountain view? dont these guys who make the rules see how much bigger the mountains are than the high rises?

And as always great Calgary shots above me.

They can be tall while preserving view cones. Either way, Vancouver is tall enough to feel tall everywhere. Not like Ottawa which just feels stubby most of the time (a few buildings are good though).

Just as an aside, please do continue to feel free to take the name of Jesus and God and Allah and Buddha and every sacred religious being and cow in vain.

Again, and again, and again. Less sacred veneration for religion, and more irreverence, please. And if the religious object, please do feel free to 🞵🞵🞵🞵 off back to the safely non-secular parts of the internet where you can worship your chosen supernatural being in peace. You may have chosen to be religious, but you don't get to dictate what the rest of us believe.

Sorry, I was enjoying the skyline shots until we were so rudely interrupted by a religious scold. Those aerial Vancouver pics are stellar! And Happy New Year!

Doesn't read that way.

The scolding was off-topic, and now we're venturing even further off-topic, so I figure we should just let it slide. Because Baby Jesus would have wanted it that way.

(Meaning we shouldn't disturb him while he 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵 on Mohammed's 🞵🞵🞵🞵 and fingers his mother Mary to 🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵🞵, I mean. While Buddha records it for posterity and Thor stomps around sullenly cause he ain't gettin any. Etc.)

This pano is the Halifax equivalent of the views from Mount Royal. Not as flattering as the view from the water, since there are more 60's-80's buildings in the foreground and because the hill makes everything a few blocks away look much shorter. Still an interesting view though, and it is getting better with the new construction.

Up until a couple of years ago Scotiabank had the smallest logo presence in the city's skyline, despite being one of the banks that was started there. Part of the reason for this is that their offices are in a shorter Art Deco building rather than a newer highrise.

I don't joke about my Lord and Savor Jesus Chris. But lets carry on, I will just ignore the hateful remarks from Reusso.

Even thought I am certain "Chris" is a typo, that is hilarious. One of the best laughs I've had all night if it's actually a joke. Heck even if it's not a joke. That typo couldn't be more perfectly placed. Thank you Scrapin!
