I just love these pics of Toronto.

One urban form that Toronto and Vancouver share is having several separate nodes, each with their own skylines.

Having several large skylines scattered throughout an urban area helps create a "metropolis" look and feel IMO.

Toronto on a larger scale of course, but Van does a pretty good job for a population of 2.5 million.

Yeah, when you're Toronto or Vancouver's size it works. Ottawa however is a bit too small and instead just seems disorganised. The secondary nodes are all to small to seem like real nodes (with a couple exceptions).

Hamilton also takes a half hearted attempt at it, but is too short on high rises for it to be that noticeable.
