My neighbourhood on the north shore of Vancouver is very anti-tower too, very different from the rest of Vancouver/its suburbs. This development in the heart of my city was considered catastrophic in size, would ruin life forever:

...but the city is still very dense with lots of four storey and mid-rise condos

I believe the densest in Canada officially is St. Jamestown but yeah Park Ex is pretty dense too. There's also pratically no new developments there because everything is already built up.

Wow from this angle Calgary looks to have a very established core. It's quickly moving up the ranks of impressive skylines.

I love to colour of the Bow compared to other rivers, great angle of Calgary.

Ottawa has really impressive density, too bad they can't build taller...

It's great to see how Calgary's downtown has gone from basically purely office towers to one with a good chunk of residential and that will only continue.

my understanding was that St. Jamestown in Toronto always took the prize, although its a horrible example of density given that it feels horribly suburban at street level.
