For the sake of argument, let's assume the CCH would be an attractive design and not a Phoenix-style CCH.
I presume that the majority of the forum (myself included) hope that all 3 developments are built, and sooner rather than later, but just curious to see the groups opinion if it came down to one of those two scenarios, what the preference would be.

I would prefer all 3.
My viewpoint is different is probably different then most. For me, the CCH - new tallest or not - is needed. So if it was a CCH or AUC/Regent Hotel, CCH is the winner because of the extra convention business.
Mostly because a CCH will lead to move conventions, which leads to more convention delegates. This leads to move hotel rooms being needed, which leads to AUC/Regent Hotel anyway.
As a side note, Boutique hotels such as AUC and the Regent Hotel aren't really comparable to a CCH because of the services offered by each. Most wouldn't think of them as an either/or situation as Boutique hotels don't stop a CCH and a CCH has a different market than a Boutique hotel.
