I agree Delts. Those hills and the avenues are gorgeous this time of year, and set against downtown, I don't know if it can be matched.

Thanks for the answer, I was hoping it still had some height to go up. That will be nice to have it be the third tallest. At least have some height on it to add to that area of downtown, and the skyline

A page or so in this thread, looked like 6-7 more stories to go; someone guessed ~120 feet or so.

Long time reader, first time poster.

Does anyone have any hook ups for a tour of this building? I'm a member of BYUs student chapter of EERI (Earthquake Engineering Research Institute), and some of the structural stuff looks really interesting. It would make for a great field trip!

I know they do tours and I think it's weekly, but I'm too lazy to find out when. But if you're not as lazy as me then call Oakland construction, who is building it. Give them a call and see if you can get a hold of the person in charge of tours for construction sites or you might find a contact number on the website for the project.

They are still raising the crane this morning as well.

I wonder if they will take the crane all the way up now or not.

With the weather forecast, it looks like they might be able to catch up a bit to the lost time due to the previous wet weather patterns.

It's difficult to tell, but to the best of my abilities given the scarcity of photos....it appears that there may be 5 or 6 more floors added to the core before topping out.

On a side note, I was in Salt Lake at the beginning of the month for a week. My son graduated from High School. We spent a day at City Creek and Gateway. Had incredible sushi at Gateway for lunch. Also went through Ogden. WOW! Has THAT city changed! I really enjoyed CCC, but was not as impressed as I thought I would be...especially walking along the second floor arcade. It was too Spartan. They need trees and plants up there. It was still spectacular though. I love Gateway, and was sad to see so many empty storefronts. No escalators going UP seemed to work either.

I did not have time to stop and take a photo, but the 111 tower is making an impact on our skyline as you are coming down the S-curve on 500 S to 400 S.

It looks great! If anyone has a change to get a shot and post it, please do.

Dallas Snob, I was thinking the same thing about CCC. They really do need some trees and plants on that second level. I was there last week and realized how bare it was. I can't believe I have never noticed it before. Maybe it was because it was kind of hot outside and I was tired of walking and a bit over heated, but yes it needs some damn trees and multiple plants...
