If you care about building an online photo portfolio use Flickr. If you don't care and just wanna get it up here fast like me use imgur. You don't make an account with imgur; you just upload it and view image in new tab. Copy and paste that url here and add the letter "l" right before the ".jpg" with "[img][/img]" on both sides.

That's it. Done. Hecho.

Post was removed due to incorrect information.

Construction site on 200 East & 200 South was not the Burnswick apartments, but is Liberty Crest apartments.
Thanks for the correction bflatflat9 & StevenF.

The Brunswick is actually a block south and across the street from the development we're seeing in infancy here.
This one is (I forget the name) similar in height, but much better designed.
I'm sure someone will show the renderings any second now.

Thanks for the great pics guys. Anyone care to clarify the one going up next to the 151 parking garage? So, is the Brunswick, rendering pictured above, under construction now? You know a lot of good infill is going on when you start getting mixed up with the different projects downtown and central.

If I remember correctly the Brunswick is a dead project. While the construction going on in those pictures is a co-development between Boyer and Cowboy Partners.

I stand corrected on my previous post on what I said was being constructed on 200 E & 200 South. It is Liberty Crest and not the Burnswick. I believe it is on 200 East & about 130 South, I even got the address wrong. That's to bad because I think it looks like a nice project and would be great for the area. Thanks for the clarification guys!

I took a few shots of the construction site this morning. The apartments are called Liberty Crest Apartments. The photos are pretty much the same as what S.P.Hansen posted.

SP Hansen, What does self-imploding mean? Did you have to see a doctor for that?

Look, SLC and Utah have a lot to offer. I think the positives outweigh the negatives generally.

Some of us who are not from Utah have had a hard time adjusting to the odd culture, or lack thereof in the state. Many of the residents here seem to be in a weird fog and just don't seem to be 'all there'. They are not very friendly, and lack social skills. Whether it is due to the LDS Church or not, I have no idea? As far as the inbreeding comment, as an outsider, I cannot help but wonder. Many people here look like they are all related.

So why not move? Because many of us would like to improve what we have found here. The scenery and outdoors are fantastic. A little diversity would not hurt. Things have improved somewhat since I moved here fifteen years ago. I am looking to relocate prior to retirement.

I agree with the inbreeding as well. Every time I go up to Utah I can't help but think and realize how so many people look related. I also think that mormon people don't know how to act or know what to say to people who look different from a typical Mormon. It goes back to what you said with them being socially awkward. It makes me laugh every time I see a white Utah Mormon feel awkward when a black person walks by or when someone who looks different from a Mormon is around them in a social setting. I think more diversity and culture in SLC and the Wasatch area could help a lot. Especially when it comes to people moving to SLC and businesses looking into moving or expanding in SLC.

Thanks to those who've posted the pictures recently. I've been meaning to post pictures every week for months now. I walk my dog downtown everyday, and often taken a camera. I just HATE the process of uploading photos to this site.
Anyone found a faster, easier way of doing it than through say Tinypic or instagram?

Whoever thinks this "inbreeding" business is an actual thing, that is total bull shit. Sorry to disappoint you guys, but Salt Lake is mostly white. White people tend to look alike

In a shocking turn of events the white people in the rest of america also look extremely alike! Gasp, what is happening? This is obviously due to extensive inbreeding, and has nothing to due with the fact that people of similar racial and cultural background tend to look very similar.

BREAKING NEWS In a recent study it was found that Hispanics generally have the same facial and bodily characteristics as each other, as well as Blacks, Asians, and all other races.

Also, you could maybe, maybe say there is inbreeding in a population of a few thousand, but not 3 freakin million.

So shut your conceited faces, if inbreeding were an issue we would have heard about a long time ago.
