Yes. Mayor Quimby is truly a lumber jack at heart! Everyone knows that.

I think it's a shame that the Real Salt Lake stadium wasn't built around the Gateway area. It really would have helped the area, especially now.

Hopefully in 10 years these mixed-use streets are everywhere!
I will always argue that that is one of the great positives about Downtown Salt Lake City. Its wide streets and huge blocks have so many diverse opportunities for developing these type of attractive improvements, which are what makes a city exceptional and more attractive than it's many average competitors.

It's just a refinishing of the exterior. They're switching to beige stucco in order to fit in better with the rest of the city. I don't know about 111 though.

Why would you want to choose exactly the same avatar that is so uniquely associated with Future Mayor?

It's similar, but clearly not the same. Carry on.

I agree, plus as you may have missed, he for some reason changed his avatar to the same as mine, then closed his Lumber Jack account and opened up a new one as Future_Mayor.

I have no new updates concerning the CCH. I will say though, I would not get my hopes up about a CCH in SLC. Things aren't working out.

I guess I should be flattered by Lumber Jack wanting to associate first his avatar, then his new screen name with me.

All those fake "announcements," and now this?

Lumber Jack, I think you just want attention...

Or you feel that since you are not prominent enough on this forum already, you need to change your name to someone who is.

Please, spare us the trouble of internet drama and end this now.

Luxury Cavalli Hotel Coming to Massive Fig Central in Downtown LA

This is what they are building around the staple center. I don't see why we cant do the same (Regarding the Base) It will be a long time before we see towers like those. Our ESA and Convention center are right next to each other. The gate way is never going to be CCC. Turn it into freaking Time Square....at least at night. THE FREAKING PLANETARIUM is right there. Science, where we take our kids to get them excited about this stuff and the future and it doesn't even stand out. Put three big screens on the top of the main entrance and displays stars and planets and what have you. Get peoples attention. The Posters don't cut it. There is a Clock tower. Add some lights on it and to the other facades around the plaza and add light show with the water. if people can do it with Christmas lights, there is no reason the Gateway cant. There is a reason people like Las Vegas, and Time Square. We are freaking monkeys attracted to lights. Monkeys with money to spend. This is what the Gateway Movies needs to do. Take a lesson from Ogden's...

Here is that bowling alley - Future Mayor. The original.

Unfortunately a project like this being built in SLC from ground up or by giving the Gateway a facelift will never happen. This project is only happening because it's in LOS ANGELES....an entertainment capital of the world. You have to remember that LA Live is already there so this is simply an extension of that part of downtown LA.
