Pics by me today:

Note the blank wall flanking the recessed gutter/alcove up the tower:

Another metal frame on the Robson frontage
You can see it in the model pic below, and looks like there will be another metal frame a level up and to the right (east).
I'm not really sure what those add to the design - they would be better if they were painted a vibrant colour.

Here's another look at the grey metal frame thing. If they keep it grey I think it's hardly noticeable, like in the rendering.

Thanks!

Here's another look at the transition floor in today's sunshine. It seems to have different pillars and/or weight bearing walls so maybe the floor plans are different?

Thanks!
Strange how the slab that looks like it should be a transition floor (with bulkier columns above) isn't any [or much] thicker.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thought that. I'm certain that it has been properly engineered, and is undoubtedly overbuilt, but it sure doesn't look quite right.

The shear wall that is cantilevered over the transition floor is likely acting in tension, much like the solid parts of the rounded face of Jameson House. I would guess that the thicker floor below that is merely a thicker edge to contain a green roof?

I saw this cracked piece today from the sidewalk along Georgia Street. It's actually part of the glass wall under the canopy.

Each glass piece is custom made for each panel position and there have been fitment issues

There is also a glass wall so hooligans can't scale the arch which is quite high already

If I understand correctly, Glowbal will be occupying allot of the retail space on the residential side as well as office side which will add allot more foot traffic to the pedestrian heavy Robson St side. Think of all the Alberni St Glowbal establishments making this a possible culinary entertainment hub

Hmm - those skinny ones are the structural component, too.

There was one on the TD Tower lobby entrance where they added steel plates to sandwich a crack (but didn't shatter). Not sure if they left it like that or whether it has been fixed.

Pic by me today.
The offset may still allow me to see the tip of the prow of MNP Tower.

walked by the site today and must admit the office component looks better in person especially that wood thing. it's quite dramatic coming along georgia.
the condo portion is meh. it looks kinda cheap and i can't help but think those glass fins they added are going to be a nightmare to keep clean. they really serve zero purpose other than being a hassle for window washers.

The condo portion is brutal! I'm hoping the podium will be better. Agreed those glass panels are a joke. So much bland clutter

They've put another one of these on the next floor up, at the other end of the building, two floors up from where the first one was (that you can see partially hidden behind the advertising plywood). Sorry I don't have a picture.

I wonder how thick the precast (or whatever type of cladding they have) will be on that Robson side?

It looks like there will be signage of the vertical parts of those metal frames.
It also looks like the blade signs and the awning will form a big "U".

the spandrel colour on telus looks exactly the same as the closed blinds on the l'hermitage condo. so once the blinds go in, it'll basically look all the same bland colour. too bad.
