Oh jeez! I thought you meant I was being nit-picky. I get it now, total misunderstanding
I genuinely didn't realize that the areas around the University weren't around in the 40s. I looked at a Streetcar map from 1940 and saw that Marda Loop was there so I figured that would mean the Killarney (and Westbrook) area existed then too.

Yes it's pretty fantastic I think. On the Calgary section, we just calculated today that the Beltline has seen 45 towers built/UC in the last 10 years, soon to be 46. That's more than the entire city of Edmonton for the same period. Not to slight Edmonton at all, it's just the comparison that was brought up. Almost all of those have been residential towers in just the one neighbourhood. It's also great that we're seeing more residential in the actual downtown area with developments like Le Germaine, Waterfront, Vogue, Telus Sky, etc. It will feel like a different downtown soon.
