AMAZING. Not sure if I would call it the best Winnipeg shot because it doesn't include the whole skyline, but this shot makes Winnipeg look like a major 1-2million American city.

Since I've been to Winnipeg a great deal this year and spent a lot of time there, it left me with the image that this is truly an underrated Canadian city. No, its not a massive city and isn't the largest in the country. Yes, the city has challenges. But in regards to the format of the city and taking advantage of its river and location, its absolutely underrated for the size and atmosphere within.

The Osbourne Village shot really encapsulates that Winnipeg is also more than just downtown, and that real urban living extends outside of the downtown streets.

I like them when they're crazy, too.

Going into Pearson is always a treat just because of that maze of elevated roadways.

Suburban-style things can be cool when they're somehow striking/impressive.

^that is more Snowdon and Plamondon than Cote-des-Neiges (the latter is anchored by Chemin de la Cote-des-Neiges, about 2 kilometres to the east)

One heck of an expansive skyline. Something that is never captured in those shots from the Toronto Islands.

That's what people thought it was destined to be at one point size-wise, and this is reflected in many of Winnipeg's old bones.
