That is really nice. This is one of the reasons why even small towns in Europe feel great, because a lot of the areas in the centre are so developped.

When Winnipeg fills all (or most) of its parking spacing, it doesn't matter how big or tall the skyline is. It would just feel great being there but that may be just me.

These are really old (2008) but they're the only shots I have ever seen from this angle. Full of buildings (some of them are pretty ugly) that you never see in the standard Winnipeg skyline pics. This Central Park area is home to a huge portion of Winnipeg's immigrant population.

In many ways Peg's skyline reminds me of Montreal's............ a great variety of style, colour, spacing, with no monotonous and sterile glass boxes. Then I've always viewed Winnipeg as sort of a small Montreal.

Love this baseball park, right downtown and right on the river. I don't know much about Winnipeg, but I'll declare this one of that city's best amenities. We need something similar in Vancouver.

Brentwood's (Burnaby) new tallest is first of four Solo District towers.

Metrotown (Burnaby) has three new towers entering its skyline. Much more to follow.

Great pictures the last couple pages! Count me as one who is jealous of Winnipeg's baseball stadium, what level of ball do they play there? Don't think we even have pro ball in Calgary anymore.

The Winnipeg Goldeyes starting out playing baseball in the old Winnipeg Stadium, it was really an awful setup. Shaw Park is a great facility.

Wow, that night shot of the city/stadium on the field is great... Makes Winnipeg look like a much larger midwestern US city (like Minneapolis). Really cool shot!

I'm actually really rooting for Winnipeg to get bigger and better. Would like to see it fill its downtown with more office and condo towers and add midrise projects around downtown to densify. With all of this east vs west crap in Canada, we need a nice 1.2 million + vibrant city in the central Canada to spread things out a little

Yeah definitely. I have only been a couple times, and while I wouldn't say it's a super popular thing to do, they have always had great attendance.
