The building itself has been Sold - and there's a sign in the parking lot to this effect. Since the Sold stickers went up, a For Lease banner has been draped down the side of the building (in the past week or two)... presumably the new owner looking for tenants.
Just wondering if this is a sign the YMCA rumour is dead, or what the story is.
The pub rumour - while I'd like it to be true, since I live in the area - seems a bit off. I've been to several Prime Pubs in eastern Canada & a couple in Alberta... I just can't picture how any of their
pub prototypes fit this structure. Even if the structure underwent a Superstore/Regina Centre Crossing retrofit... maybe I'm wrong.
Besides, the profile Stormer posted indicates "
Work type : New construction" and "
Works concern construction of a new restaurant/pub location." to me, this sounds more like their "Ground-up Build" model. But I'm not familiar with industry lingo - perhaps a complete retrofit would fit within the "new construction" category (and frankly, I wouldn't have guessed a Consumers Distributing could be converted into a Tony Romas... but it was).
