Skyview is Northwest of Lakeridge and directly West of Lakeridge Addition. Skywood is going to be directly North of Lakeridge Addition

Edit: NRB, you beat me to it.

Humpty's Restaurant is advertising for a franchisee for a location in Saskatoon as well as at Rochdale Station (NW Superstore development as per Stormer's posting above).

I also see that Good Earth Café says they will have a location at Eastgate Crossing (Superstore East)

edit: They are also advertising for a franchise at Rochdale Crossing. I seem to recall they did the same for Grasslands and that never materialized, so it may never happen.

Ah - so, Eastgate crossing will be the new development in the superstore vacant land south of Vic? I just assumed with the name "Eastgate" it would border Eastgate drive which is North of Vic.

Yes correct. I am guessing whoever named it did not even realize there was an Eastgate Dr. in Regina. Eastgate Crossing is on Prince of Wales and Victoria!

Haha, I agree. Interesting to see that dream has plans for an urban village, aren't they the ones who promised an urban village in Harbour Landing that has yet to pan out? Won't hold my breath on that one..

Big surprise that Dream got what they want considering that one of their new managers is the guy who was just partly responsible for city planning.

The city and developers seem to be developing a revolving door for these guys.

Is Dream even involved in Rosewood? This is the Rosewood Alliance Church applying.

That's my understanding as well. Do they have any experience in this realm? I sure hope they're actually partnering with a developer who knows what they're doing.

Also interesting that this is going ahead against the recommendations of the city planning department.

Are city design process is so broken.

I see Money Mart is going to have a location open one block south of Family Services. Why can't the government step up and actually help people instead of letting Payday Loans, Money Mart and their ilk prey on the poor?

They have this planner on their team

along with Ryan Karsgaard from Associated Engineering. I did not see any developers mentioned.

Sorry I was also referring to Harbour Landing West, where they are promising new urban village stuff and grid roads, neither of which will happen.

So 2 more tower cranes at the stadium site going up today. You can see the first going up on the webcam. There is already one visible on the webcam at the wastewater plant, with another to follow. I believe that will bring us to 8 total in the City.

Good Earth wants to expand in Regina but no one is buying into their franchise. Not a well enough known name around Saskatchewan to spend $75,000 + franchise fees each year to use it. Independent coffee shops (The French Press, Brewed Awakening, Rochdale Roca House) do great business in Regina and they have no franchise fees to pay.

They originally had signs up in the Grasslands spot where Cobb Bread now is. There've since put up a "franchise available" sign at the corner of Lewvan & Gordon - been there at least a year, no bites (much like the East Side Mario's frnachise sign that was in the same location a couple years back).

Also noticed that a big For Lease sign went up recently on the old Cdn Tire South... assume this means the YMCA rumour was just that? Or are they looking to subdivide with YMCA in a portion of the space, and something else in the rest?
