I might have went overboard but Winnipeg is definitely underrepresented on these boards IMO

I've never been to Winnipeg--heck I've never really been to any Western cities. All I've got is a single day in Edmonton spent entirely at the airport & the West Ed Mall, but that's not really experiencing Edmonton as a city IMO. Never saw downtown or anything urban. I do plan on taking an epic road trip from Ottawa to Vancouver once I have the money, so I'll get my fill then

I've always thought of Winnipeg as being a very much an unappreciated jewel in this country, and these pictures are confirming it.

If Winnipeg weren't a 9 hour bus ride from T Bay I'd probably have visited more than just a bus ride through it twice. (The 2 hour bus ride to Montreal from Ottawa is less of an excuse, I really need to plan a day trip out that way.)

Definitively my favorite angle, especially with L Tower.

Great Winnipeg pics on this page.

I still don't think you understand what I wrote & why I used a comparison with another city with same criteria..
I don't have an agenda either way, i'm just alluding to comparisons of observations I have made that you may not have.

Great Winnipeg pics on this page.
Too bad the L tower is not the direct terminus view of the east end of the Esplande, it jogs a little south at that end.

St. Lawrence Market is an awesome lowrise community, I wish there was more to do there, so I could hang out there more. Outside from the market, its pretty cookie cutter and dry. I guess its not too far from the Distillery District and that makes up for it.

^Somebody posted a skyline pic of Toronto in 2007 and it was almost unrecognisable. It really is an amazing transformation. I'm not sure it makes Toronto a better city per se but it's stunning just the same.

It's amazing how much a skyline can change. The skyline shown below didn't exist at all 10 years ago.
