I've always thought Toronto's best skyline was areas north of College/Yorkville..........doesn't have the volcano shape of downtown and the architecture is far more appealing, diverse, and the spacing between the buildings is far more esthetically pleasing.

Saskatoon still has a height limit; however, the city is working on having it changed. I'd say good luck with that due-to-the-fact that much of the downtown lies in direct line with the VOR approach to Runway 33. (Which is a non-precision approach.)

Yes, Capital Pointe will certainly dominate Regina's skyline from the southwest.

Actually Chad, the Delta Hotel is Regina's tallest.

I'll speak on behalf of the Saskatchewan folks here: You are doing an excellent job representing little 'ole SK on SSP. Thank you sir!!!

Oh really? I thought Mosaic was a meter taller? That's what the SSP database says.

And about the representation, amy time. I am in your beautiful capital city right now and I will be representing it for a little while to come

Saskatoon, has had a self imposed height limit to it's downtown buildings, but Saskatoon city council has recently relaxed the height limit and have approved River Landing to the developer for 95m height.
Transport Canada has its own height limit for buildings for parts of downtown Saskatoon similar to about the same height limit Edmonton's has had up until recently. Edmonton's City Centre airport was closer and had runway approaches closer to Edmonton's downtown, as compared to Saskatoon's downtown which is about 10m lower in river valley as compared to height of John G Diefenbaker international airport.

Hey. Ya, I know what you are getting at; however, for an IFR approach in IMC, flight crews don't care if a building's foundation starts in a river valley. The altitudes for an IFR approach relate strictly to the elevation of the runway threshold in relation to taller objects along the final approach path.

North of Dundas is many many many notches below what's south of it, but is in the process of trying to catch up. I'm not sure how IM Pei, Mies van der Rohe, and grand pre-war buildings is less appealing than what's north of Dundas, but to each their own.

The only thing that would make sense in that post is that he is referring to is the placement of the buildings and not the buildings themselves.

North of Dundas to Yorkville is pure commie slab apartment building mafia. A few new condos and brutalist relics break up the landscape though.
