Solid looking skyline... that space up front will obviously be better utilized shortly.

^The new proposal for Eau Claire Market and the 7 tower proposal a couple of blocks away will fill up all that's left in that shot.

Weird angle. Is that taken from the north shore with a big zoom lens?

Fantastic shot Surreal. I literally just found that place yesterday. We were wandering around Bridgeland and stumbled across two of the most awesome vantage points for closeups of downtown.

Don't forget the 4th and 5th phases of Waterfront Can't wait to see those designs! Apparently it's quite nice

Well... close enough I guess. Telus Sky will be directly adjacent to that brown building in the foreground (on the side facing the camera), so the Bow will be further to the right and look a lot bigger.

And Brookfield will be to the west.

Quick illustration (the orientation is slightly off and the height might actually go off the page)

I dont think its that easy, specially with the dozen or so new towers around the Bell Center and other upcoming projects.

To me Montreal has the most aesthetically pleasing skyline in the country.

^ meh, I don't really care that much, a city's skyline doesn't necessarily reflect the appearance or greatness of a city (except here on SSP). Tourists don't really care that much about skyscrapers really...

Calgarian forum members are always really excited about their new skyscrapers and all, and I don't blame them because some of them are really nice, but Calgary, with or without huge skyscrapers, comes nowhere near the density, culture and big city feel that Montreal has. I mean, Calgary doesn't even really have suburbs... It remains a fairly small big city.

I'm not a Calgary hater or anything but some Calgarian members always need to point out how they have surpassed Montreal in height, airport stats, etc. It's annoying. I know you guys aren't necessarily trying to blast Montreal, but it kinda looks like that. Airport stats show nothing when your city is located in the middle of nowhere...

I would agree with this. I've been to both cities multiple times and there is way more to a city than big buildings. Montreal is obviously on a different level. Calgary is def going taller with it's buildings however most people would agree that there's so many other more important factors that make a city great.

Also, that Montreal panorama from Mount Royal is gorgeous and IMO one of the nicest skyline shots of any city in Canada. For me it's right up there with the famous Vancouver mountain backdrop skyline shot and TOs island view with the water glistening.
