Yes they did.
The two big problems in terms of timelines with IGF was that the Bombers made a bunch of changes when they took over the plans from Creswin (which wasn't necessarily a bad thing as the original design was not functional for a 2010s football facility) and the steel arches/roof.
If we had the winter we've had in 13-14 in 12-13, the Bombers would not have played a game in the new facility in 2013, that's how tight it was even being a year late.
Looking at where Hamilton is, hard to see it being ready before Labour Day. Basically a benchmark for the Bombers was if they couldn't get the field in before the ground froze in 2012, they wouldn't be able to start the season in IGF in 2013. It's a little different given the climates, but Hamilton doesn't look close to getting the field in, along with a lot of structural work left. At this point last year, the finishing touches were being done on IGF and they just barely managed to get a conditional occupancy permit for the pre-season game on June 12.
