After recently heading to Maui a couple of weeks ago I just can't wait for the new IFP, such limited options for food/beverage before the flight in the B/C pier. Not too mention the claustrophobic feel of the space.

White elephant or not I welcome it from a passenger comfort perspective.

Fantastic results for 2013! nice to see we are now officially the 3rd busiest airport in the country. If we can maintain 5% for 2014 we will hit the 15 million mark.

Interesting misconception that people think the field currently cannot handle A380/747, even though the latter is here on a regular basis. Forget heavies, the biggest beneficiary might be those United 739's on a 32 degree July day. They're dogggs.

Something I just thought of... maybe people have been to ORD/YYZ/LAX and associate a busy airport with an abundance of heavies, and it is therefore somewhat implausible that YYC with our relatively few heavies and plenty of turboprops could max out the airfield and have a gate crunch. Thus, the construction of a 14,000 foot runway can't possible be because of Calgary's elevation or because the field badly needs the extra capacity to handle existing operations, but instead because we're trying to attract heavy jets who can't use the runways we already have.

I'm not touching that with a 10 foot pole over there, I mainly just lurk those forums now.

Me too, even here I'll leave the passenger number discussion to you lot. I skim over all the posts here about pax counts because I care more about the airplanes (and which ones we get, and what they're doing while they're here) than how many people are on them.

Somebody typed in "MJB" instead of "MBJ" for Air Transat 118 tomorrow... showing on the website and the boards as Mejit Island, Marshall Islands instead of Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Air Transat. First the Azores, and now... Marshall Islands.

And on that day, the great Canadian cities of Toronto and Vancouver were simply wiped off the map.

Even one of the first lines the guy in the video says irks me, "and numbers are expected to keep rising with the opening of the new runway in the spring..." ehh yes, but that's not exactly the reason why. Grrr.

Those are all domestic routes though, perhaps another announcement coming for the transborder?

Current YYC - SEA QX/AS flights are codeshare with DL. 6.20 AM flight is DL9158

The Delta announcement for SEA includes a new second daily to Honolulu which could be another nice option for YEG/YYC'ers.

I'll second that. We are toying with the idea of OGG but the flight options are not ideal for us.
