Walked by there today. Still lots of activity on the site, I'd guess a month or more from occupancy, although it looked like there were some people in the offices working. Nice looking playground for the kids.

I hope the city has plans to repave the alley once things are complete, it's pretty bad right now.

It appears to me that a lot of the spandrel mishmash is hidden by balconies/etc. in the finished product. Or am I looking through rose-coloured glasses? I rather like aspects of the podium as well.

The recent pictures of the building is making me warm up to it. Actually, it looks pretty good considering the spandrel.

The recent pictures don't show the other side. Nothing can negate that atrocity:

Ya that facade is a complete mess. The west facade seems to be pretty decent actually, and I really like the podium.

With the blinds going in it makes the bizzare spandrel less noticeable. So that's good I guess lol

The circle on the crown of the building was lit up red last night. Nothing crazy but a cool feature. Hopefully they keep it on. The night skyline would be much more interesting if more condo towers incorporated light features on the crowns.

Doesn't look like many of the upper floors are completely. If you look carefully in the last picture of the post above yours you can see in many units the ceilings still don't have plasterboard.

The orange rust coloured prison fence in the back is the biggest eyesore in Yaletown. Look at some of the renderings on the first page, it looks like a really nice classy wood finish, then in reality they pick the worst colour orange ever. I seriously questioned why when the building was nearly completed, why they would be putting up a construction fence… till I realized that was the finish quality. What a horrible mistake and eyesore for the area.

I like the orange on the building, but on the fence it's definitely very prison fence.

The first couple of times I saw pictures of that fence, I thought it was one of those flimsy construction / temporary perimeter fences.

How the hell did this fence get approved? To me it's stuff like this that is way more important than say for example an extra floor. Yet developers seem to be able to change these design details with little approval process?
