He was referring to Harrison's post. There is a difference, the Edmonton municipality is in 800 thousands and the metro is in the 1.2 millions. Huge difference when considering growth and proportion of growth.

Contractor Mike Holmes built a reality television empire on variations of a valuable mantra - Do it right the first time. Make it right. Build it right.

That promise of quality is probably what underlies the relative popularity of Creekside Ravine, a 16-lot housing development on Edmonton's south side that booked four reservations in its opening weekend, Oct. 4-6. His company, Holmes Communities, has partnered with three Edmonton builders - The House Company, Effect Home Builders and Dolce Vita Homes - to build high-quality, energy efficient homes in a complete, compact neighbourhood. "Mike Holmes' name on the front of the community will set it apart as a house of a higher standard," said Dale Rott, part-owner of Effect Home Builders, who added that his company will have no trouble meeting Holmes' demanding standards...

Didn't we hear that Joey backed out and Local Public Eatery was wanting in? Either will be good additions.

Or that they don't want to open their up-market watering hole before the arena district is up, or until ultima is occupied next door. That suggests a renovation rather than a new building, which would take much longer.

Landscaping has begun on Capital BLVD. Wilco is removing all the clay/gravel in the planting beds and placing topsoil. Is it to late in the season to plant trees?

^ nope. It's actually a good time to plant.

Hope some landscaping makes that street seem less hard and sterile, esp. North of Jasper. I assume that they're still trying to figure out what to do about the ornamental bollards that are all still sitting at 15 degree angles
