I wonder with these positives of (Green Track) What would be the (Cons) IE...maintenance of greenery in a plus/minus $$ sense.

Yeah I know it was added after the original building was gutted by a fire in the 40s, but it is still historically significant I think (being over 100 years old and all). At least they could've kept the facade, like the rest of the Kelly Ramsay block.

The road to hell, they say, is paved with good intentions.

No wonder, then, that Churchill Square seems to be the most damned public space in Edmonton. It has been paved with more good intentions than Hades itself.

In 2004, the city unveiled a new and improved Churchill Square, redesigned to celebrate Edmonton's centennial. The budget for the square project was $12.6 million. Of that, the city contributed $4.2 million, the province kicked in $4.2 million, with $1 million from Ottawa. The rest of the money was raised by community volunteers...
