Feels good!

Only the third team to clinch after Chicago and Pittsburgh.

Our PP officially consists of Markov and Subban passing the puck to each other and ignoring everyone else.

And Subban is candidate #1 for the Norris right now. The way this guy protects the puck in his zone is outstanding.

BTW-Buffalo sucks!!! This game was the perfect example of total domination... 42 shots vs 15 for Buffalo!

Was at the Flames game in Denver to see their first road win in almost 2 months. Pretty funny. And surprise, surprise, we won when Kipper wasn't in net. I don't know why the hell they bother playing him, unless they're TRYING to tank. He's horrible this year and I think the team plays for shit in front of him.

Pepsi Center is a HELL of a nice building. That and the Staples Center are my 2 favourite rinks at the moment. I'd love it if Calgary was to model the new arena after either. Such great acoustics!

From what I've heard they are kind of looking at the Xcel Energy centre as the model. Other cities have also used that arena as a model.

I've never been in it, but it looks pretty good.

Well that was a bad game!

I don't want to blame Price but I think everyone know that he should've save those shots.
I think this is a "wake-up call" for the Habs and it will show (even if they showed us already) if they can bounce back next game. A nice little test before the playoffs!
Anyways, on a positive side, Drewiski scored his first goal with the Habs!!

I don't really care either way, but it's always fun to see the Habs get their asses handed to them by the Leafs - and it seems to be happening more often than not.

Man, Price is really starting to piss me off. WTF was that???

Especially the second goal was the worst goal I've seen him give in years (maybe ever).

4 goals on 5 shots in the first period for the Leafs... the last time a team had such a ridicoulus shooting % in the first was in 1990 (I heard that somewhere).

We didn't play that badly but the soft goals were a killer.

Oh well, Boston lost as well so we're still 2nd with 7 games left to play for both teams.

The Oilers just got absolutely dominated by the Abbotsford Flames!

This is a Flames team missing Iginla, Bouwmeester, Kiprusoff, Tanguay, Glencross and Stajan - 5 of the team's top 9 scorers this season. Loving the play of the Flames' young guns these past few games. Sven, Backlund, and Reinhart were a force tonight.

If they don't drop dead from the effects of a short, intense training camp run by taskmaster coach John Tortorella, they'll contend for the Stanley Cup again. Expectations are high now that Rick Nash can finally make his Broadway debut. He and Brad Richards will be a deadly duo, and Henrik Lundqvist is still Henrik Lundqvist. We've been Torts-deprived for too long now with regard to his famously terse postgame press conferences. They should be even better during a pressure-cooker short season.

Last Week: 25 Edmonton Oilers (32-40-10)
Check with me in a month or two, but it says here that they will get off to a great start -- which really ups the odds of getting into the playoffs. Why the reason for Oil optimism? Because Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle and newcomer D-man Justin Schultz all played regularly during the lockout in the AHL and will be that much further along than the players who were limited to informal skates or shinny matches for charity. Eberle had 51 points in 34 games for Oklahoma City, while Schultz had 48 in 34. Granted, big questions remain in goal and defense, but what an offense this should be.

The only thing better than watching the Leafs win a lopsided game is watching the habs on the losing end of one

So, the Habs goaltending wasn't great, but then again the Leafs easily skating into the habs zone with the puck all night didn't help them either.

Now if only loserpeg can lose another game or two, that will be the end of them for the season and what's up with the Oilers? They get embarrassed in their own building by what is essentially the Flames farm team?
