Damnit... honeymoon is over Therrien! Time to start playing Galchenyuk more. The kid is unreal and is bringing his game to another level.

Desharnais has been TERRIBAD since he signed his contract.

Galchenyuk: 2 pts... 11:52 min ice time
Eller: 2 goals... 13:40 min ice time
Desharnais: 0 pts, -1... 19:57 min ice time

Galchenyuk is now second on the team for ES pts and still gets no PP time. His only PP pt was a beautiful play.

Youngest player in the NHL right now (and missed a full year of development) I love watching him dangle through defenders.

I don't know why Oates ever split up Backstrom and Ovechkin when the guys scored over 100 points together 2 years ago. Now they're both rolling and Washington looks like they're taking the SE and Ovechkin is making a case for a Hart. His first goal last night was an absolute beauty and vintage Ovie. The game is certainly more exciting when his playing his best.

Looks like Toronto is going to be matched up against the team that dominates them most for their first playoff appearance in almost 10 years.

I totaly agree. Chucki and Eller should get more ice time and since they're now with Ryder, I think its going to change. The official Habs twitter account confirmed that the line will stay as they were in the 3rd, atleast for the next game.

And its not only Desharnais, his line is not playing like they should for few games now. Gally and Pacioretty aren't as agressive has they were. And Gionta isn't playing his best hockey either.

Gallagher is awesome as for Patches, we're hard on him because he should be leading the team in scoring. 30 pts in 35 games is a 70 pts pace (despite his center being absolute garbage) so it's not that bad. But yeah, he has also missed a few chances recently.

Budaj resigned for 2 more years. Couldn't be more happy. I love Price but I'm the first one to admit he's been "average" this season.

It is weird because I feel more comfortable with Budaj than Price right now.

Since starting the season 0-1-1, Budaj has been 6-0-0 since.

You say that now, but the second Budaj loses a game or 2 (it's been known to happen) I bet you and/or the Habs fan army will turn on him. I've seen it before, and sadly, I'll see it again.

Gorges, great shutdown D but nothing else
Drewiske, Gorges V2.0? Too early to tell but he's nothing more than a 6th D as well
Bouillon, 6th D maybe 5th
Beaulieu, amazing potential (2 pts in 3 games) but he's still learning

Weber and Kaberle are still healthy scratch.

So basically our D consists mainly of Subban and Markov right now. Emelin was the third best D in taking the puck away from opponents.

Yeah, I was impressed by the play of the younger guys. Nice to see some enthusiasm. Canucks didn't look very good.....they won, but the 4-1 score certainly wasn't indicative of the game.

Boston passes Montreal in the standings, setting up what could be the first Toronto-Montreal playoff series since 1978.

I hope this is the way it stays since Toronto seems to match up better against Montreal and Boston dominates us.

It's either the Habs or the Bruins for Toronto. Whoever finishes second in the Northeast will play the them in the playoffs.

Pretty good probability we'll see Leafs-Habs in the playoffs.

Wouldnt have been surprised if the Flames beat Vancouver. Not only do the Flames have nothing to play for therefore play relaxed with nothing to lose, but Anaheim (a better team than Vancouver) just lost 4-1 to Colorado (a team worse than Calgary).
