Wow i am not very observant, i came through the airport on Friday night but failed to notice. I guess that's what a 22 hour travel day will do to you.

I think they should stand a little taller but other than that they are not terrible and it is different, what I mean it is good to have variety instead of the same boring light posts on every street. Also I like how one tall bright that white light is.

I think I might have been filmed this evening on city tv as I was checking out those colorful lights.

for this one I like most of the aspects of it.

What is up the rendering on the east side with the great mix-use building, this is only a rendering nothing is going to happen the Bay parkade right? I wish that parkade was developed to mixe-use though/

another Condo complex. loving that North St.B is getting more and more residential! Mode Tache is complete, Verve Tache Phase 1 and 2 are complete, Pointe Hebert hosuing is finally happening. all great news!

Apparently this was just a proposal submission for the redevelopment of the MMF Building. I have been told there is no official architect yet associated with this project.

I completely agree. Street lighting is very high up on my list of things that can add to the beauty, vibrancy, and safety of our Downtown streets. The Theatre District in particular always seems like it needed an injection of excitement and razzle dazzle.

I just don't think the chosen designs accomplish these goals. I've said it before on this forum: They're over-thought, over-designed, and looked dated before they were even built.

It was excellent, thank you. Funny thing that i found though, they had so many 1,000 + ft buildings i felt like they lost their uniqueness. The Burj Khalifa is truly amazing and almost impractical in its towering height. My favorite area was the Marina area with its cluster of 5 or 6 thousand footers densely packed into about 4 square blocks. The nice thing about the area was its street life around the river area. Tons of restaurants at the base on some of the most awe inspiring supertall views on the planet.

The infrastructure and construction there is truly amazing but highly unrealistic to relate to Canada when you consider the amount of cheap, slave like labour that makes all of it possible. Most amazing was that all of modern Dubai is under 10 years old.
