Didn't Newfoundland have a national parliament building before it joined Canada?

Yes, but (and please don't let Canadian conservatives get wind of this), running a Canadian province requires a larger government than running most countries.

Our national parliament (the Colonial Building) and adjacent Prime Minister's Residence (the Government House) weren't big enough. You can see them here:

(The former is being converted into a museum of our history prior to joining this federation - and the latter is now the provincial Lieutenant Governor's Residence.)

Too bad they couldn't have simply expanded it, though I suppose it having been the late forties we're lucky they didn't tear it down to build the new one.

this snow storm is crazy! (at least for southern ontario) It looked like there was over 30cm of snow on my driveway. Insane!

I like it! That dark wood colour makes the units look sleek and sophisticated. Those chairs are fugly though. Where is this located?

And yeah That Ottawa Zeppelin looks awesome. It's a shame no one had posted it yet. Thanks for doing so Chadillaccc

Indeed, that building is amazing. Also loving how Alura is turning out.

Here's a photo I took today of Le V. The cladding is quickly going up. (Notice it's almost at the same height now as Complexe Desjardins)
