Yeah, but you can clearly see their effects.

I think it's pretty cool, how it all works together. Although poor old Grande Pointe has to deal with the flooding. Anybody know if their situation has improved since the floodway expansion?

I do think there should be some type of control structure at the floodway inlet though. For the high water in summers, even just for more control of the river in general. Could relieve some pressure on the city and allow for some development of the riverbank. I mean things like more pathways that won't get flooded, some other public parks/spaces, food stands/booths, etc.
