Oh it will be facing Water Street.

guys we already talked about very likely sites when he first talked about this huge project .. and one has an old building attached .. a BEAUTIFUL old building attached to a not nice building that you can park on top of

Good, so Doc is talking about a different development! That's two new developments

23 stories????? That would be amazing! so will the tall portion be facing water street?

23 stories would make it the tallest in the city and possibly taller than Purdys Wharf II in Halifax! I was thinking like 12 stories, but 23 is massive! Honestly, I would love to see something like this built. I would LOVE to, but I can't see something that tall getting approved here right now, especially facing water street. I hope it is, it will all have to do with design and what side the public sides with.

This will be a way bigger deal than fortis ever was, and i will be rooting for development all the way. I hope this company will fight hard and not back out! I cannot wait for more news on this! 2013 just got a whole lot more exciting!

Edit: I didn't read the part where you said that Fortis will be back in the fall to re-propose their tower next to the old fortis building!!! This is too much! Wow! We NEED a pro-development council to be elected this year. We can't afford to start slashing these mega-projects. I CANNOT wait

Yeah, I can't see how 23 stories facing water street is going to fly. 8-9 on the water street side is do-able and 23 stories on the harbour drive side is excellent. reverse it, and I don't know. 23 stories facing water street is alot. I would still , most definitely, support it, but I know many wouldn't.

Guys they fully know that a 23 storey mid-rise will never see the light of day on waterstreet (at least not for another 100 or so years).

I think this is going to be a very hard sell .. they will have to have an AMAZING rendering that helps with the view problem ... I've mentioned this to 2 friends on seperate encounters this morning and they said .. 23 on harbour drive!?!?!?! but that will take away the harbour view!!

so ... gonna be an uphill battle .. it will have to be amazing looking and enhance the view

If it is as Iconic as indicated then they can sell it as people will want a view of this building ... but It's going to have to be a piece of amazing work lol
