Still pretty brutal. How has no one mentioned Montreal's collapsing infrastructure yet?

It was on 14th down the hill from the jubilee and SAIT. Near the new brenda stafford housing project. Not sure if it's still there as that was over a month ago.

The Hells' Angels former bunker in Longueuil was torn down earlier this week. I think it was bombed a few times back in the 1990s. The street around it is one of the ugliest in Longueuil. There are a ton of sketchy businesses in the area.

I'm going to nominate the Hyatt in downtown Calgary for this thread. It looks kind of ridiculous next to the Bow.

Is it strange I'm almost enjoying the Ugly Canada thread more than the usual threads?

Good call on the building at Bloor and Dundas. It's even worse in person when you notice the chunks of missing concrete. That whole intersection is pretty much a disaster too.

Sheer brilliance, although few will recognize it as such. This actually reminds me of a message that was scrawled on an overpass in Oxford County, Ontario a while back: "SPEED TRAP AHEAD. BEWARE OF PIGS. MANY BRAVE HAVE FALLEN"

The following image fully encapsulates the shitty side of Calgary.

Crack shack from Renfrew / Bridgeland in Calgary. You can't tell from the picture but it sits on the most prominent corner of a 5 way intersection which I'm convinced is the nexus of the universe. Or hell.

Other bizarro house nearby.

I whole-heartedly support that nomination!!! The only redeeming quality of that POS are the heritage building facades they preserved on the Stephen Avenue side. The inside is laughable. Sadly they probably spent a mil on the awful Indian paintings and mountain goat on Mountainside bronzes that infest every last available corner.

It blows my mind that this is the second Ugly Canada thread and I have yet to stumble upon a picture of Rex Murphy. (And if you think that's harsh, just imagine my uncensored version.) The man looks as if he was spawned by a hobgoblin and a rototiller. Simply grotesque in appearance and outlook. Yuk.

Anyways, speaking of hideous things that shouldn't exist, I agree with the comments on Calgary's Hyatt. Yikes. Oh, and much of suburban Montreal looks dreadful as well. I suppose no city can be ALL good....
