The apartment is further west and is still planned.

Looks like they were experimenting a little with deconstructivism.

Does the that "latest" redendering look better or worse? Or the same?

I'd take this Edmontonian over the other one thrown around any day. That is a beauty and the podium is not even that bad if it's brick and maybe larger windows but that's about it. It is very similar to the Icon podium; and let's be honest here, Icon's podium adds a lot of character to what 104st is today.

Where is the Edmontonian said to be built again??

At a public zoning hearing, several dozen West Jasper Place residents opposed demolishing a house at 9531 155 St. and replacing it with a semi-detached home...

I respect the desire to retain the character of the neighbourhood, but the idea that duplex or row is in anyway inferior or going to in fact change the feel is questionable at best. If anything it might allow these areas to retain more schools, neighbourhood retail and better distribute the real cost of transit. You simply have to look to the City of Vancouver proper to see how well single family and duplex can co-exist.

On the other hand, they're trying hard not to become Jasper Park. Although, I certainly do recall there being duplexes in the community hugging around 95th Ave, and walk-ups lining 149th and 156th Street.

This is an opportunity for you to share their knowledge and thoughts on the future use of the Park. This first public consultation event will be a full two hour facilitated ‘workshop’ where you will be asked to:
contribute your local knowledge about Queen Elizabeth Park;
tell us what you value about the park;
identify what should be preserved or enhanced;
identify what needs to be changed or improved; and
identify how you would like to see the park used in the future

We hope that everyone interested in Queen Elizabeth Park will attend this workshop in order to fully participate in the planning process. However, if you wish to be involved but are not able to attend the workshop, an online survey will be available from April 19-May 2 at the project website where you can contribute to the process.
