Really? I didn't know it was 98%! I was thinking it was maybe 95 or 96%, maybe 97%, but most certainly not 98%!
Sarcasm aside, yeah, I realize most growth was and still remains in the suburbs. But why hasn't that changed a bit more? Why isn't there more construction going on in a downtown of a city supposedly on the verge of boom? Really, just 1 building and a whole lotta talk about a dozen and a half other projects? That's all Edmonton can manage? Can't expect downtown to revitalize with that amount of enthusiasm with building new buildings and filling up old holes.
Oh, and even if suburban growth has been the same for the past five years, there still was more condo construction during the boom. Yes, we are not in a boom, but I would expect at least a couple more residential projects underway.
