That Delta building is crying out for a re-clad. Maybe a high quality dark glass and add another 25 floors? I don't mind those others at all, they have a lot of character.

Great shots of Winnipeg, that Bond tower might not make much of an impact on the skyline, but it will be great from the street.

Looking at that Orlando pic, one thing that always surprises me about American cities is they seem to have smaller downtowns that are fed by massive freeways, really glad most Canadian cities didn't decide to go that route.

I think it's because the larger Canadian cities are "newer".They came into prominence later on. Building technology improved. ..Take Buffalo for example. It had it's day in the first part of the century. Was a major hub, and although it's metro is still larger than say Calgary, Calgary being a newer city, has a more impressive sky-line due to modern practices allowing height to be acheived more easily.Ditto for Vancouver...Back in Buffalo's hey day, a skyscraper was a lot shorter.. That, and Canadian inner cities stayed intact more than the older U.S ones where businesses migrated to the burbs. My theory anyways.

Awesome Winnipeg shots, guys. I'm absolutely lovin' the pictures that show the massive grid network. Must be tons of cool neighbourhoods to explore.

If you ever visit, come to:

- Assiniboine Park
- Corydon Avenue
- Osborne Village
- St. Boniface
- The Forks
- Downtown and possibly
- Transcona

Avoid:

- North End (particularly Main, went there last week and it was sketchy as hell) and
- The West End after about 7 pm

Edmonton has an amazing skyline for a city of 1000 000. So does Winnipeg.

Whats that observation deck on Fort Gary III. Is it a turning restaurant?
