I'm glad YEG had a decent year, but most other airports have recovered (I know which ones are the exceptions) from the 2009 drop where YEG still hasn't gotten there. To me, that signals that there's still more work to do and more bums available to fly around. C'mon YEGgers!!!

Is it "whoever bids closest without going over gets both showcases", or in this case "the invaluable respect of fellow SSP forumers"? If so, 6,475,000.

If those are the rules, 1.

Edit: in that case, 6,675,000 but the airport will fall back again the following year, just like how there was still growth in the first phase of the financial crisis at YEG when others were already falling.

I would expect some major growth in domestic and even a bit in transborder just because the oilsands are heating up again. Seems a lot more places are willing to fly staff in for 3 weeks and back out to newfoundland/maritimes for a 1 week off. That, and West Jet will be directing more flights to hub out of Edmonton for Northern Prairies/BC
