Personally I think it will turnout much better than the image. I am just pissed about the treatment and orientation along Jasper.

For fuc* sakes people. That actually is pretty decent. It is very complimentary at the human scale to the existing synagogue, articulation of the roof-line and decent colour combination above. The red may actually be brick (as could the yellow).

I don't think the renders do the colour any justice. The cream colour will be masonry and will match the synagogue; that reddish will also be masonry and the grey will be aluminium panelling.

I am not seeing it.

-Good amount of glazing.
-decent articulation
-actually somewhat reminiscent of century park low-rises
-guessing it is ATB arch so detailing should be good

heavy? yes
brutal? no

More street-level retail / something would be good, but this is 100% better than what is there now. I agree tho, please no more red...

I'd love to see a developer use a colour scheme that is both bold and fresh to the city, and actually pull it off.

I don't actually mind the tan/yellow brick, and I think it integrates well with the existing building, but if it were me I would lose the red and go with something a little bolder. Overall, the tower isn't great, but it's a far cry from terrible either. Certainly better than a lot of projects I've seen.

Agreed, everything save the street interaction looks quite swell. It's nice they're trying to make the building "fit into" its surroundings. It isn't the prettiest building, but it's decent.

I see.....

Short...(ok zoning)..fat.....yellow....red.....uninspiring......first 3 floors of punched windows.... punched windows on the side. To much going on...simple is better. Mediocre at best, maybe not brutal.

My 2 cents.

Red brick should be changed to chocolate brown. That's my only suggestion.

If the purpose of the color scheme is to match that of the existing building, then reno the existing building. It's not exactly an inspiring presence on Jasper Ave.

I like yellow brick, but the red just doesn't work even if it is brick. Either go with brown or charcoal, or just stick with all yellow.

Do you know if EDC had comments about their lack of access on Jasper Ave? That is the stupidest thing IMO.

I would take this design any day over the house that existed previously on the lot.
