It is open only for vehicles traveling north on Scarth to turn right onto 12th.

The corner of Scarth & 12th infront of the twin towers has been open since last week. Scarth infront of Copper Kettle and O'Hanlons is back to being it's normal one-way setup.

Driving north of the park though? No, that's all blocked off still. No way that's possible.

The Star Phoenix is reporting that a new plan for River Landing could see Saskatoon topple Regina as having Sask's tallest:

The surrounding buildings would be hotel, office and residential towers. Preliminary designs propose a 10-storey hotel, a 27-storey condominium and a 17-storey office building, with cultural, retail and restaurant space.
If the condo tower reaches the proposed height, it would be tallest building in the province, though three projects under development in Regina — the Capital Pointe tower, Canterbury Tower and the Mosaic Potash Tower — would be between 85 and 95 metres tall as well. Regina’s Delta hotel — that city’s tallest building — is 84 metres tall, while La Renaissance Apartments adjacent to the Radisson Hotel on Spadina is Saskatoon’s tallest at 79.2 metres or 23 storeys.

I think this project is far from becoming a reality. Financing could be a big issue with this project as we've seen in the past with it. We have seen this aslo with the Capital pointe project in regina thats about $100 mil.

Way to go Regina nice to see all these proposals & construction happening haven't been to Regina in ages I think last time was for an Alice Cooper concert in 94 lol will have to make a trip and check out all the projects that have happened since then.

Small point, but to avoid confusion, we should try to use the correct name: Centre Square Place. City Square is the new plaza.

The fact that Graham has a shiping container on site means construction is almost certianly imminent. This should help the City's building permit total for the year.

The lights on Lewvan are owned and maintained by the City of Regina. My understanding is that they are scheduled to be fixed over the winter.

I believe that the east side of Ring Rd by the university was transferred from the province to the City this year as part of the Urban Highway Connector Program. I haven't heard anything about the City installing lights there.

Apparently construction was supposed to begin on this site this week. It is modular construction and should be up within literally days.

Edit: apparently it went up over the weekend and is done, subject to finishing!

I saw a flatbed truck hauling a wide load east on College Ave. after turning right off Broad St. on Saturday afternoon. Parking on the avenue was prohibited, and there were trucks with wide load signs in front and behind the flatbed. That was part of the project, I imagine.

I drove by last night and it is pretty amazing they assembled the whole thing over the weekend. The individual modules are huge - I would say much bigger than normal-sized tractor trailer.

There is more than just a shipping container on site now, there is a bulldozer and there were a couple of Graham pickup trucks on the site today and some constructiony looking guys. So yeah this one is looking solid. Now maybe they are just doing some preliminary work but nice to see actual workers and equipment on one of these sites, unlike the other 2 projects..

Source? As far as I know the one in Calgary has been operational for quite some time. At least 5 years since I've noticed it being fully functional. I'm not suggesting they would need one in Regina though.

I believe you are referring to their existing durable goods distribution centre in Calgary. Last November they opened a huge grocery distribution centre as well:

Looks like there is not much going on at this site, they finished digging the whole and bracing the walls, there is a construction trailer on site and some equipment, but not a lot of workers and no real action. It's been like this for a while now, I'd say a month, so not sure what the delay is, maybe shortage of skilled trades for the next stage. Anyone know what's going on? Maybe it's the Albert street curse (see Capital Pointe).

I noticed that as well. No disturbance of the snow recently. The company from Edson, AB, Anderson Builders is acting as their own general.
