I can see two possibilities: They are thinking along the lines of the majority of us and that no application will ever come forward - thus they remain silent. Or that in the event an application does come forward, it will be shot down by council before it even gets a chance to begin through the system. Keep in mind, that the process to undertake a DA requires an initiation report to Regional Council which they must agree on. Since this will likely involve amending a bunch of policies, it wouldn't be Community Council voting on this - it may be regional council. So they may assume that most will look, laugh and toss it.
I wouldn't be as confident considering that it was mainly the suburban members of council that added weight to the approval. We'll have to wait and see.
