In all fairness, the last time you complained about NS you said you were living in Sydney. That is like if I spent a winter in Chicoutimi and then started ranting on SSP that Quebec —. Really your complaint seems to be that Sydney —. A lot of people could have told you that before you moved there.
Awesome. This project hits all the right notes, from the massing to the ecology, etc. If anything, the suggestion of tall towers sound really boring in comparison... "oh look we can't contain the greedy developers from dropping in their spandrel boxes"
Edmonton's City Centre airport redevelopment looks impressive. Beautiful mix of fine modern mid-rise architecture and landscaping. Great way to plan a human scaled, urban neighbourhood.

Two of Canada's largest pension plans are teaming up to build a new office tower in downtown Toronto that's slated to be the headquarters for Canada's largest bank.
The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Oxford Properties, the real estate arm of OMERS will build RBC WaterPark Place, a 30-storey office tower on Queens Quay between Bay and York Streets in Toronto's financial district.

^realistically that is a height that most buildings would fit under.
You can always pursue a DC2 application for something taller.
That few or no buildings will likely reach 200m or more isn't a reason to have a 200m height limit. That's like banning the construction of 50 m swimming pools because it's not likely to happen.

tell people what?? whats going on?? is there a big proposal coming to MTL? i mean regardless if it is built downtown like near CIBC or LE 1000 it wont be more than 200m... i mean now if something like 260m or 300m was in the works then im very very interested!...dont get me wrong 190m to 200m ill take it lol but whats all this secret talk?...whats going on!!!!!? lol
the Edmonton redevelopment looks incredible. Is there anything else like this in North America?? Seems like a proposal that actually embraces the human scale of old rather than making a few pandering concessions. I'd take quality streetscape over towers any day.
