Yeah - those darn kids in JH moving out is a real trend!

The real issues with education (and other similar areas) are largely due to salaries that increase at a rate not aligned with inflation. The other thing that does sometimes make me scratch my head is increases simply based on seniority as opposed to merit and performance review, but that discussion is for another day and another thread. With school buses in particular, certainly higher gas prices don't help. Lastly, and something I've mentioned before elsewhere, is the split in Alberta of public and catholic schools that dilute the student density, double the over head, and overall harpoon any real efficiencies that might be possible. I say stop funding religious schools at the 100% clip and we'll be good for a while at least.
