You know, looking at the latest pics of the interior of the new hammerhead, I feel that not enough glass was used... I hate to say it, but YYC's new IFP will have an entire, monumental wall of glass looking out toward the apron/downtown/rockies that will make this, by comparison, look dark and cramped... <sigh> I hope I feel differently when I first set foot in the new wing.

That is exactly how I felt looking at them...I think they made a hugh mistake. That should be curtain wall - vast expanses of it. As it is it looks like a cheapo design and cheapo finishes. Maybe thats why they saved $250M.

^This was the design from the get-go and there will be plenty of natural light. Notice there are very few lights installed in any of those pictures. The central hall will feature a glass wall at the base of the new control tower.

Yeah, hard to tell - on a sunny day it may look pretty different. Last thing would need is a giant curtain wall then needing blinds every which way to make it so sun glasses aren't required indoors (or I guess a permenant window tint)

Wow the Russians really penetrated our northern border this time. The CF18's must have been escorting the prime minister to the Canucks-Bruins game.

What are the chances that the TU-154 would have flown south and possibly over YYC? I ask because about 20 minutes ago I saw a t-tail rear engine aircraft pass from SW to NE heading approximately towards the YYC VOR at maybe 10,000' or so. Appeared to be all white.

Plus, the Muni's runways are very likely too short for a Tu-154!

I think I saw the Marvin today. I saw a large, tubby four-prop craft flying over the West End around noon.

Edit - just flew over again. Might be a C-130. Flying low though.
