As with Chicago and Dallas, I am starting to suspect that there were some low responses in certain communities in Atlanta. When you "fear" sharing your information with the government, these low counts are what happens. The addition of only 3000+ people is quite odd. Even with the total demolition of the housing projects in the City of Atlanta, I would have expected a greater number than 420,000.

I would be curious to see the response rate breakdown of some of these larger cities...Houston as well. I recall the head of the Latino American Association in Atlanta going on radio to beg people to please respond to the census form. Mayor Kasim Reed did as well through several service announcements. I guess those request fell on deaf ears. Now you will have a city with a population larger than 420,000 receiving funding at a lesser rate. I fear that the one's who choose not to answer will be the ones to suffer.

Maybe there will be a challenge.
