Hm. Every time I tune into Hot 107 they seem to play the same 15 songs over and over. But then again that repetitiveness is no different from the other stations in town.

^I'm sorry but this is how 'corporate' radio operates in most places. If you want true variety the best are university / college radio stations.

Sonic is far and away the best station in Canada. Friends from Toronto, Van, Cal even agree.

^ This is one of the few reasons I really miss construction. No more inside poop on stuff like that.

So... Spill it!

I can't stand Garner Andrews to the point I've boycotted the entire station due their tendency to shove some prerecorded snippet of his rinkydink lowbrow humor attempts in amongst the ever-declining musical selections.

The station was far superior prior to the Rogers ownership, at least from a musical standpoint.

I would agree with Sonic. Its the better of the radio stations, but has gone down hill very quickly since being bought that criminal corp rogers.

I don't get why Edmonton and Calgary gets a true urban radio station before Vancouver does. Actually The Beat 94.5 started out urban but a year later went Top 40 FTL.

Sonic 102.9 is OK but would be a much better station when their playlist isn't stuck in 1995.

I wake up to CBC Radio 2 now and find their morning and afternoon shows to be fantastic musically, commercial-free and full of intelligent commentary and insights into music.
