2007 - 2012 Expansion Project
An additional 13 bridges will be built on the south side of the terminal, boosting the total number of bridges to 30 from the current 17.
Phase 1 (completion date 2010): 253,000 square metres of new apron space to accommodate new south terminal development.
Phase 2 (completition date 2011): A new "hammerhead" located south of the current airport terminal.

The Transportation Department is undertaking a reassessment of the strategic level planning, completed to date, to identify a route for the proposed LRT extension from Downtown to Lewis Estates.

The reassessment emphasizes additional criteria including Transit Oriented Development (TOD), regional initiatives and the Goals outlined in the upcoming Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and Transportation Master Plan (TMP).

You're talking three distinct locations/buildings. The Tegler was demolished for the BOM building. The CCB building (don't recall if it even has a name right now) is kitty-corner southwest of the Sutton Place Hotel. ING building was originally bannered with M.E. LePage, iirc.

The "CCB" was the "Canadian Commercial Bank", not the "Continental Bank" (as I mentioned). CCB became "Canada Trust" tower for a while and was recently the "Bell" tower I believe.
The shorter & longer "ING" building was the "Continental Bank" building when it was built (I think - but that is going back a while).
Anyway, just wanted to clarify - sorry for driving you to drink Cold (by bringing up the Tegler).

Drove by Edmonton Clinic N/S yesterday and the South is far larger than i thought. You can actually see it driving west on Whyte.

As for the north, I don't mind the spandrel rainbow but wished that they had done more of a seasonal design going from spring (light blue/green) to summer (yellow) to fall (red/orange) to winter (dark blue.

With regard to the annexation there was mention of approving an annexation area in last weeks local paper. Was this the new development area, I can't say. But the area mention in the article is also the same area that has been in the Gazette articles the last few months. That and Council is currently changing the municipal development plan from smart growth to sustainable growth.

Shall develop a hybrid set of general guidelines dealing with the design of sustainable neighbourhoods within a winter city.

Not that St. Albert is distinctly french, just a few of the streets are named rue this and rue that. I feel superior driving amongst the giant SUV's on my way to a starbucks in a parking lot.

Humor aside, St. Albert has a few unique communities and a developable downtown that merging with Edmonton could only benefit everyone (cough LRT cough)

SHHHHHH don't let this get out or tell any one that knows me. As a long time resident of St Al and a former employee of the city, I would vote for annexation as long as Sherwood Park is included. E needs the industrial taxes.

I promote E as much as I can.

Like all residents of the GEA I first identify myself as a person from Edmonton while on foreign soil. Only when that other person is from Alberta do I specify St Al.

Hell Edmonton is slowly surrounding us.

And for you Starbucks coffee creatons. There are 6 in town.

And my street was ploughed last week. But I pay the taxes.
